Community Events

Community organizations, libraries, and museums are encouraged to host events about genomics to continue the ongoing community dialogue. If you plan to host an event please e-mail Sally Meyer at so we can assist you in planning and promoting your event.

In order to facilitate the planning and implemetation of events related to genomics, a tool kit has been created that includes marketing materials, educational materials, information on planning an event, and descriptive materials about the project. You can download the marketing materials and customize them to meet your specific needs before using them for your event. During your event, you can use Centra technology to connect you with genomics experts from around the country, including those at the National Human Genome Research Institute. See the guide to Centra and lists of resource people below under "Information For Planning an Event" for further details.
